Novair donates fresh air to the Accademia Gallery and Michelangelo's David
The Galleria dell'Accademia of Florence is one of the most famous and frequented museums in Italy. It is also known as the "Michelangelo Museum" being the center containing the highest number of statues on display sculpted by the famous Renaissance artist. The most popular is the magnificent Michelangelo's David, the symbol of Florence.
In this location, a place rich in culture and passion, a Novair-branded Air Treatment unit has been installed to replace the old ventilation system.
The ventilation system of the Gallery, precisely the one of Galleria dei Prigioni and Tribuna del David di Michelangelo, was outdated and it did not fully meet the needs of the museum. The ventilation was poor, and the air regulation was not adequate for the needs of this space. An institution of great importance such as the Gallery, containing masterpieces of inestimable value, requires high air quality and a microclimate suitable for the preservation of these works of art and for the well-being of visitors and employees. A modernization activity was therefore vital for the protection of the artistic and cultural heritage, as well as for the improvement of user experience and satisfaction.
Our company G.I. Industrial Holding, thanks to a close collaboration between technicians in the ventilation sector, area managers, suppliers, and installers, has provided the museum with a Air Handling Unit, Novair branded.
The new machine, characterized by high performance in terms of efficiency, reliability, and energy saving, can provide the best microclimate possible for a museum and optimal air exchange levels. In addition, it presents significant advantages in terms of costs, ease of maintenance, accessibility, and cleanliness.

What is special?
The uniqueness of this Air Handling unit is its design. In fact, it has been engineered to be assembled directly on site. It was disassembled into pieces to be delivered and once arrived on the installation place, the installer transported the individual parts to the final site through corridors and tunnels to finally mount the entire unit.
Moreover, it features cutting-edge materials, already tested in hospitals and airports.
Novair is one of the four main brands of the G.I. HOLDING Group. It is dedicated to air treatment and ventilation and it offers a whole range of units, both for comfort and industrial applications.
In the residential sector, as in this case, NOVAIR products stand out for the attention to each customer and to their needs. The quality of the materials and the technical and commercial support are relevant elements, always considered to obtain the best compromise between functionality and adaptation to the available spaces.
Since the beginning, specific requirements, such as silence in operation and humidity and temperature control, are treated with the utmost care.
